Job Description
MenloEDU is looking for a mid-level research associate to support research and evaluation tasks across multiple projects.
The research associate will:
Contribute to multi-stakeholder (e.g., education practitioners and leaders, educational product designers, and project funders) research projects including facilitating engagement, communications, and supporting project convenings
Support research and evaluation projects drawing on participatory, design-based, and mixed-methods approaches
Assist with research and evaluation study design, including articulating research questions, identifying appropriate data collection methods and participants, and drafting data collection instruments.
Conduct and track data collection; data management
Conduct data analysis, including qualitative analysis of documents, artifacts, and interviews, and (optionally) basic quantitative analysis of survey data
Assist with report-writing and sharing findings with varied stakeholders
Position Details
The position is for a remote 2-year, part-time (50%) associate who will work as a consultant to the company (i.e., on an hourly basis). There is potential for extending the position to full-time and for more than 2 years.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Master’s Degree (required) or PhD in the social sciences (e.g., education, psychology, sociology, anthropology, or a related field)
Research: Minimum 5 years experience working in education research, preferably in projects involving multiple stakeholders
Experience designing and planning research studies, conducting qualitative data collection and analysis, managing research tasks, writing research reports
Experience working in education systems with teachers, leaders, and other school, district, or state-level partners
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, coordinating across many projects, stakeholders, and teams at the same time.
Commitment to conducting educational research and development in ways that reflect and support educational equity
