The Advanced Education Research and Development Fund (AERDF) launched the Moonshot Methodologies Network (MMN), an international, cross-disciplinary network of leaders and thinkers, in Spring 2026. The network brings together practitioners, researchers, innovators, and leaders from across sectors to explore a new field of study focused on understanding education and social impact as complex and dynamic systems. The initiative is supported by the Bezos Family Foundation and represents a commitment to building methodological infrastructure worthy of education's most pressing challenges.

Menlo Education Research serves as a research and facilitation partner to AERDF in the design and execution of the MMN. This work includes conducting a landscape scan of methodological approaches across fields — encompassing both a literature review and stakeholder interviews — to inform the network's direction, and co-designing and co-facilitating the MMN's convenings alongside AERDF leadership.
